The ground-bow is a single-stringed musical bow with a resonating chamber dug into the earth. This groundbow was built by Sekuru Chigamba’s friend and fellow musician, Sekuru Compound Muradzikwa. Sekuru Chigamba refers to the ground-bow as kambuya-mbuya, while Sekuru Muradzikwa calls it dzikamunhenga. In his youth in the rural area of Guruve, Sekuru Chigamba used to play kambuya-mbuya while herding cattle.
