Performed by Tute Chigamba
“Vasina Katura” is about a situation in which you are watching others farm, yet you are not farming. You are watching others work, yet you are not working. You survive by begging. Once those people who are farming have finished, they store their harvest in a granary. Yet you haven’t even a granary for storage, and that is real destitution. So I said, “Those with no granary remain beggars,” and that is the song “Vasina Katura.”
